Lake Lotawana’s boating heritage took center stage on September 12, 2026, when the Lake Lotawana Wooden and Classic Boat Club hosted its Rendezvous Six Boat Show at Marina 27. The event brought wooden and classic boats to the docks for a day celebrating craftsmanship, community, and life on the water.
Classic Boats on Display at Marina 27
Visitors had the opportunity to admire a variety of wooden and classic boats up close at Marina 27. The show ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and was free and open to the public.
The club welcomed guest boats from Heartland Classics, a chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society. Organizers hoped to bring eight to ten Heartland boats to the show, adding to the range of classic watercraft on display.
A Weekend of Boating and Community
The boat show was part of a full weekend at Lake Lotawana. Participants could arrive Friday, September 11, with secure parking available for boats and trailers. A happy-hour gathering was planned that evening at Marina 27.
On Saturday, boaters could launch from the Marina 27 ramp, with trailer parking nearby. Lunch was provided by the Lake Lotawana Wooden and Classic Boat Club. After the show, participants were scheduled to take a short cruise around the lake, followed by cocktails and a 7 p.m. dinner at Marina 27.
